Robert Gilbert
Robert Gilbert completed his PhD at Leicester University with Peter Andrew and Arthur Rowe and working also with Helen Saibil at Birkbeck College, London. He has worked in Oxford since 1999, based in the Division of Structural Biology, part of the Nuffield Department of Medicine (NDM). He was first a post-doc with David Stuart, before holding a Royal Society University Research Fellowship from 2004-2012. He is now Professor of Biophysics and Director of Graduate Studies for the NDM, and director of the Medical Sciences Graduate School at Oxford. In addition he serves as Managing Editor of the European Biophysics Journal and has played a leading role in the set up of the ARBRE/MOBIEU biophysical network. He is a Fellow of Magdalen College, Oxford where he teaches Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences and Medicine.
